The 45-minute drive to Chopta is an enriching experience that sets the stage for adventure. A scenic 3 km trek from Chopta to Tungath. Tungnath, rising at 3,680 meters above sea level between the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys. This sacred site, rich in legends of the Pandavas from the Mahabharata, lies just below the stunning Chandrashila peak. you’ll find that the final 1.5 km to Chandrashila is well worth the effort. To commence the Deoriatal trek, a convenient one-hour drive will take you to Sari village. The trek spans 3km to Deoriatal, recognized as one of Uttarakhand's concealed gems. The lake provides a stunning panoroma of the Chaukhamba, Neelkantha, Banderpunch, kedar range and Kalang peaks. Experience the tranquility and natural beauty of hidden lake as you embark on your journey.
Omkareshwar Temple(Ukhimath)
Ukhimath is 45 minute drive from the resort. Ukhimath, a location rich in mythology, is recognized as the site of the wedding between Usha, the daughter of Vanasur, and Anirudh, the grandson of Lord Krishna. Previously known as Ushamath, the town derives its name from Usha, symbolizing her lasting influence in the area. Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath is a winter seat of lord (Shiva) Madmaheshwer & Kedarnath. The deities are bring back in winter to worship the lord Shiva.
Karthik Swami Temple
Kartik Swami Temple atop a picturesque hill at an altitude of approximately 3050 meters, this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Kartikeya, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The temple sits atop Kronch Parvat, silhouetted against the backdrop of snow-covered Himalayan peaks, creating a dreamy image. Legend has it that Lord Kartik meditated here after an incident involving his brother, Lord Ganesha. The temple can be reached via a 3-kilometer trek from the village of Kanakchauri, followed by around 380 steps leading to the temple. Kanakchauri is 60 km away from the resort.
Anusuya Devi Temple
Anusuya Devi temple is located in Gopeshwar, Chamoli, i.e 52 km from the resort. The trek to Anusuya devi is 3 km from the road.The Anusuya Devi Temple is a pilgrimage site dedicated to goddess Sati. As the devoted wife of Atri Muni, a revered sage among the Sapta Rishis. The Ashram of Atri Muni, is situated just 2 km from the temple. According to legends, Anusuya is the wife of sage Atri, and they had three sons: Dattatreya, Durvasa, and Soma. Dattatreya is considered a representation of the three demigods, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The idol in the temple courtyard is a visual representation of this legend. Nestled 30 kilometers from Chopta, this temple offers visitors a serene atmosphere and a glimpse into the rich spiritual heritage of the region.
